HSE Manager North America, Recycling
The HSE Manager North America Recycling is responsible for optimizing all HSE activities throughout the North American Recycling organization, providing leadership and best practice implementation regarding all HSE activities. The HSE manager will also support local initiatives and improvements towards Management process, Quality and Performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support and guide start-up and integration of new plants in HSE- U.S.

Support plants in operational improvement activities and coordinate other central resources.

Facilitate collaboration and benchmark between plants through the Quality and HSE Core team and develop network within U.S. organization.

Standardize and improve HSE processes by developing and supporting implementation of Best Available Practices (BAPs)

Contribute to development of QHSE competences in the organization, and support AMBS academy program.

Propose, support and follow-up HSE and governance processes in U.S.

Target-setting and planning of improvement programs.

Maintaining and developing HSE risk analysis

Handling and investigation of incidents

Assisting plants in staying compliant to internal and external HSE requirements

Contribute to and participate in annual Performance Audits

Support plants in case of escalated safety incidents and resolution of incidents.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
-
Strong background in Health, Safety and Environmental laws, regulations, and best practices.

Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety and environmental management system standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OSHA's rules

Knowledge of low carbon product certifications
-
Knowledge of automotive quality standards and best practices.

Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, and other systems as required.

Proficient knowledge of continuous improvement activities and principles, especially the Hydro AMBS methodology.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

Successful candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or similar discipline. In exceptional cases, work history can substitute for the degree required.

A minimum experience of 5 years is required.

Salary range: $120,611-$135,355
