Customer Supply Chain Coordinator/Scheduler

Job Location: Sidney, OH

 

Summary: Analyze, interpret, and enter Customer orders into MRP system.  Plan/develop production schedules to maximize production efficiency, minimize inventory, and to meet all Customer requirements.  Serve as primary Customer contact for Sidney Operations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use date from Customers to create sales orders in MRP system.  Customer data can be retrieved via fax, email, or EDI.
  • Build weekly Master Production Schedule for all Finished Goods.  MPS should support specific machines or work centers.  Communicate MPS to Plant Management and Production teams.
  • Develop complete understanding of production capacities and capabilities – machine rates, historic OEE, and availability of manpower.  MPS calculations should support these factors.
  • Build weekly forecasts by Customer. Publish weekly to Plant Management.
  • Provide significant input with regards to overtime, manning, and safety stock requirements.  Escalate all issues if/when necessary.
  • Communicate expected delivery dates to Customers.  Ensure preemptive communication to Customers for any/all issues that may impact On-Time Delivery.
  • As primary Customer contact, work with various departments and functions to resolve shipping concerns, invoicing errors, and credit lines.
  • Maintain timely documentation for On-Time Delivery.
  • Communicate any/all known material shortages to Buyer.  Escalate if/when necessary.
  • Assist Production and other departments or functions with investigation of inventory discrepancies.  Identify root cause for inaccuracies and suggest solutions for improvement.
  • Assist with absenteeism within functional department (as needed).

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience with modern MRP system is required. 
  • SAP experience is preferred. 
  • Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities is required.
  • Basic supervisory/management skills are required.  Ability to effectively lead by example and lead a motivated work team.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to colleagues, management, and Customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a key member of a high performance work team.

 

 

Education and Work Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum A.S. degree in relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of Production Control/Scheduling experience required.  Master Scheduling and experience interfacing with Customers is preferred.
