Job Summary

To support the Controller in the accurate and timely reporting of daily, monthly, and annual financial and nonfinancial data for St Augustine, FL.  Provide financial data, financial interpretation, and assistance to both manufacturing and the management team.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or University and/or experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience, with a focus in cost accounting and managerial experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of industrial manufacturing experience working in a plant environment

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Advanced MS Excel (knowledge of Macros preferred)
  • Fluency in English, able to communicate orally and in writing effectively with all levels.
  • Keen listening / communication abilities to lead improvement processes within various areas and levels of the organization
  • System experience: SAP, Hyperion, Ultipro, Strong Microsoft Office User
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the close process, including tracking and verifying all journal entries.
  • Continuously improves the quality of data and efficiency of the processes associated with management of the operation.
  • Supports with quarterly physical inventories.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries related to closing the books, KPI input, CEP reporting, and financial input forms.
  • Prepares profits and loss statements for individual profit centers.
  • Consolidates and analyzes all location activity data needed for month end closing.
  • Provides financial and manufacturing analysis and tools, both recurring and ad-hoc in nature, to management and operations.
  • Supports in Fixed Asset verification and control.
  • Prepares cost analysis for use in quotes and pricing adjustments.
  • Analyzes cost records to ascertain distribution of costs.
  • Conducts and analyzes audits of costs and procedures associated with inventory.
  • Prepares and ensures accuracy of account balances and reconciliations.
