Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technical Specialist provides expert-level support in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment and systems within the facility. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of industrial maintenance experience.
- Proven ability with electrical and control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex Hydraulic systems.
- Proven ability with mechanical abilities.
- Ability to write PLC code as well as build HMI’s from scratch.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Master Trainer for Maintenance and Operations.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree of Applied Science (AAS) in one of the following: (Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics) or other relevant.
- Strong communication skills with departmental managers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve complex equipment issues.
- Assist in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and document maintenance activities to ensure adherence to schedules and standards.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and practices.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians and other staff.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement equipment upgrades.
- Provide support and Technical Direction to Asset Owners.
- Travel: Less than 5% of the time.
