Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Role purpose
As a Product Manager, you will ensure stable and scalable delivery of selected Digital Products by aligning business needs with technical execution. You will define the product vision, manage the backlog, and collaborate with stakeholders to maximize business value. The role also includes gathering requirements, assessing feasibility, and preparing initiatives for development.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog by defining, prioritizing, and maintaining a structured backlog based on business value and impact
- Engage with stakeholders to gather, refine, and analyze requirements to ensure alignment with business goals
- Translate high-level business needs into clear user stories, writing structured, concise, and testable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
- Define and communicate the product vision , product goal, and roadmap to ensure development teams understand the long-term objectives
- Conduct impact analysis and feasibility assessments to evaluate new initiatives effectively before moving into development
- Prioritize features and backlog items based on customer needs, business priorities, and technical feasibility
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth execution by clarifying requirements, removing blockers, and making product decisions
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies by providing backlog priorities, clarifying requirements, and ensuring development progress aligns with business objectives
- Monitor product performance and adoption by tracking key metrics, gathering feedback, and refining the backlog based on insights
- Ensure end-to-end ownership of selected product initiatives, gradually taking full accountability for specific product areas, including defining blueprints and overseeing their execution
- Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that user needs are consistently reflected in product development
- Support rollout strategies to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new product features
- Works together with other internal or external teams
Qualifications and skills
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role
- Proven experience in backlog management, requirement gathering, and Agile product development
- Strong track record in working with stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional teams
- Experience with business analysis techniques, including impact analysis, feasibility assessments, and requirement structuring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, supporting data-driven product decisions.
- Strong spoken and written English is mandatory. Any other language is a plus
- Agile Scrum Certificate is an advantage
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business needs into actionable product requirements
- Customer service orientation
- Excellent communication skills to ensure alignment between business and development teams
- Ability to prioritize effectively, balancing strategic vision with day-to-day execution
- Ownership mindset with a proactive approach to driving product success
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift
