Product Owner, Modern Workplace

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
 

Role Purpose:

 

Product Owner in Modern Workplace area has crucial role in shaping and executing the product strategy. Product Owner translates the product vision into actionable objectives, prioritize work, gather and analyze data, and adapt to changes to ensure the product's alignment with business goals and customer needs. Product Owner also ensure that the Product Team has a clear and prioritized backlog of work to execute on.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Communicate product vision, support the creation of product strategy and roadmap and priorities, ensure the team/stakeholders understand the Business value and impact of the work they carry out
  • Product Backlog Management (Creating, Managing, and prioritizing the product backlog)
  • Ensuring the Team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs
  • Ensure product features are clearly defined and understood within the team
  • Continuously monitor progress towards product goals and adjust priorities as necessary to maximize business value.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Participates in scrum ceremonies where required
  • Member of the Agile Team who has delegated responsibility for maximizing the Business value delivered by the team
  • Assist in resolving issues/blockers/questions related to the product backlog or product requirements
  • Support the planning product release plans and defines the acceptance criteria for delivery of new functionalities
  • Participate in the vendor selection processes by providing input on the vendor's ability to meet the product's requirements.
  • Defines and communicates the product's requirements, quality expectations, participates in testing and acceptance activities, and provides feedback to the vendor.
  • Contribute to define the terms and conditions of contracts with vendors (specifying deliverables, service level agreements, and pricing structures) that support the product's objectives.
  • Participates on Product forums to align and influence other Product/Service Owners in policies and practices
  • Support Agile transformation on organization, way of working and process level
  • Contribute in the Modern Workplace related budget planning and owns Managed Device / Managed User service offerings

 

Requirements:

 

  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Product Owner or Product Owner Proxy in a Multinational environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices and experience working with Agile Teams. 
  • Preferably a 3-year bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Engineering or similar relevant field
  • Certified Product Owner
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Vendor Management
  • Technical understanding of the Product scope
  • Experience with development projects on major public cloud platforms (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze and think quickly to resolve conflicts
  • Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the Product
  • Customer oriented people skills and experience in leading and influencing people and their work
  • Experience with practical ITSM/ITIL tools and processes
