Scrum Master
Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Role purpose
As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for advocating agile values, principles and practices within the BI & Analytics team. As an ambassador of true agility, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement, helping our teams enhance overall agility and transform into a value-driven organization. You will be coaching team members, facilitating scrum events, assisting in impediment removal and serving as the liaison between the team and internal customers.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor the BI & Analytics team in agile frameworks, empowering them to deliver complex data solutions for our internal customers
- Be a champion and advocate of true agility within the organization, fostering a culture that is keen on continuous learning, improvement and a focus on delivering value
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration, working with product owners and stakeholders to define the backlog and ensure the team is working on high-value initiatives
- Encourage and drive innovation in the team, championing continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
- Facilitate the Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint review, and retrospectives. Ensure the team is tracking and communicating progress effectively
- Help team members clarify goals, and develop their capacity to self-organize and deliver high-quality outputs
- Resolve conflicts and issues that occur, removing obstacles that might impede the team’s progress
- Monitor and report on key Agile performance metrics to senior management
Work experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in agile project management in a similar industry, with a focus on BI & Analytics
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring teams, and influencing change at all levels of the organization
- Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure Boards or equivalent
- Having technical background, hands-on experience in software development is a big plus
- Experience with data-related technologies and understanding of data analytics concepts
Education and skills
- Strong knowledge of Scrum and other Agile frameworks and software engineering practices, as well as traditional project management approaches
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar certification preferred
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure) is a plus
- Fluency in English
- Strong skills in critical thinking and problem solving, communication, facilitation, and coaching
