Senior Financial Analyst, Controlling

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

Role purpose:

Senior Financial Analyst, Controlling is responsible for providing controlling support related to a financial team in Group Functions dedicated to a company-wide cybersecurity Program.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the financial health of projects by analyzing costs, financial risks, and forecasts potential losses
• Includes and tracks projects in company-wide cost reporting tools
• Evaluates the financial implications of program projects for the relevant business areas in terms of cost allocation
• Develops detailed project financial estimations, monitors and tracks progress
• Ensures that all project-related expenses are appropriately allocated to projects in compliance with accounting rules, considering the company-wide implications
• Reconciles project accounts at financial month-end close, charges project expenses to the appropriate intercompany entities
• Contributes to the annual Business Planning of the Program, ensuring the inclusion of GBS as needed
• Ensures that projects are managed consistently and in compliance with the Program methodology
• Proactively contributes to the financial processes of the Program
• Ensures that all program stakeholders’ interests are properly represented and escalate as needed

Requirements:

• Master or Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of experience in Controlling field, Project Management experience is an advantage 
• Relevant knowledge and understanding of budgeting, forecasting methods, accounting rules, treatments, principles
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of IT/Security is an advantage
• Confident to work alone
• Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Advanced SAP skills (FI, CO, MM, SD, PS)
• Able to think in projects, to consider financial implications of projects, keep deadlines
