IT Specialist, Global IT Support

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Beskytte vores kritiske produktionsanlæg og data ved at implementere adgangskontroller og konfigurere firewalls.
  • Identificere sikkerhedsrisici gennem regelmæssige revisioner og sikre overholdelse af standarder.
  • Arbejde tæt sammen med leverandører og interne teams om implementering af opgraderinger, der integreres problemfrit med eksisterende infrastruktur.
  • Udarbejde og vedligeholde dokumentation, netværksdiagrammer og fejlsøgningsretningslinjer.
  • Generere rapporter for at give bl.a. ledelsen indblik i system- og netværksydelse.
  • Yde support og træning til produktionsmedarbejdere for at sikre optimal brug af netværket.
  • Deltage aktivt i både lokale og globale IT-projekter og bidrage med din ekspertise.
  • Følge med i de nyeste teknologier inden for produktionsnetværk og implementere dem i vores systemer.
  • Overvåge netværk og udføre fejlfinding for at minimere stoptid og optimere produktionskapaciteten.

Requirements:

⦁    Min. 5 years work experience on the field of IT Infrastructure
⦁    IT Engineer or equivalent
⦁    Fluency both in the native language of supported location(s) and in English is a must
⦁    Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, OPC, and SCADA systems Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching 
⦁    Proven experience in network support; preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments 
⦁    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
⦁    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in time-sensitive production environments
⦁    Understand network security principles and best practices in an industrial setting
⦁    Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
⦁    Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

 

Preferred competences:
⦁    High-level understanding of market-standard manufacturing industry standards and regulations
⦁    Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and their application in manufacturing environments
⦁    Familiarity with industrial wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, RFID) and their integration with manufacturing networks
⦁    High-level understanding of manufacturing processes and production floor environments
⦁    High-level experience with configuring and troubleshooting market-standard network equipment and various enterprise-grade devices
⦁    Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization in manufacturing environments 
⦁    Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
