Innovation and Technology Precision Tubing (I&T PT) is seeking a Lab Engineer to enhance our R&D organization. Job Responsibilities
As a Lab Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and ensuring that testing schedules are met. You will work with various analytical equipment such as SEM-EDX, Potentiostat, Corrosion Chamber, and Optical microscopes to conduct tests and analyze results. It will be your responsibility to drive customer-required tests, analyze the data, and report findings on time. You will also be part of a team focused on laboratory development and participate in research projects and problem-solving activities within I&T PT. You are encouraged to initiate, define, and propose innovative ideas, while also implementing Lean tools for continuous improvement in the lab. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the development and implementation of HSE policies and programs, ensuring adherence to all safety and work procedures.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with at least 3-4 years of experience in a similar role. A Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Metallurgy, Materials, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. Experience working in a laboratory environment with a Lean mindset is essential, alongside expertise in the calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment. Familiarity with international standards related to materials and corrosion testing is important, and knowledge of aluminum alloys 3XXX and 6XXX and their corrosion behavior would be highly advantageous. A solid understanding of surface chemistry is also beneficial. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is a must, as well as experience with Microsoft Office applications.
