About the job and your team

The Production Supervisor is a supervisory leadership role responsible for active management of the department output
that emphasizes employee engagement, training/development, and continuous improvement to deliver sustainable
results against the goals of the organization. This position is responsible for supervising personnel and production
activities of the casting functions. The role plans and coordinates production output as well as support schedules to meet
customer requirements and company commitments, eñectively utilizing team members, materials, equipment, and other
company resources within assigned area

Highly committed to continuous improvement applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset
Create a culture of safety while applying and implementing workplace policies.
Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and eñectively
Values diñerent opinions and is open to ideas and perspective from others
 
Key Responsibilities/ Day to Day activities
 
Maintain work procedures and employee safety programs.
Maintains a safe working environment and safety records.
Coordinates daily production on the shift and collaborates with peers across all shifts.
Manage daily production during the shift.
Act strategically to meet production demands, solve issues, and make improvements.
Investigate and solve issues related to quality and serve as a point of contract for issue resolution.
Work with department managers to solve manufacturing issues, understand and mitigate problems and provide
direction to production team members.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training of production leads and employees.

 
 
 
 
 

Your qualifications and skills

3 plus years of casting operations knowledge preferred


Prior supervisory experience preferred

Overhead Crane Operations

 Billet Casting Operation

 Billet Casting Table Maintenance


 Billet Defect Troubleshooting
