Job Summary: Hydro Extrusion is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable electrical engineer to work closely with various departments at The Dalles Cast for support and improvement of the current production processes.


Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering –Electrical, Electronics or a closely related field


Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior exposure to a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience/knowledge of CMMS program is desired
  • AutoCAD proficiency with electrical/electronic circuits desired
  • Administrative skills, able to manage and organize multiple tasks effectively


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with PLCs, ladder logic and electronic/ electrical drawings
  • Support the Maintenance Department in upgrading and maintaining current production equipment and controls
  • Knowledgeable in schematics and circuits diagrams
  • Present improvements or opportunities as well as new projects
  • Support Hydro's PM and PdM plans
  • Manage plant CMMS program
  • Ensures equipment is operating correctly and communicates effectively with operations team and maintenance to resolve any shortcomings or make modifications
