Starting Rate of Pay: $18.75
Nightshift - $1.00/hour extra
Shifts Available and Hours:
6pm-6am (Nights) 4x4
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement, sponsor, and support all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
- Operates equipment in the laboratory ranging from CNC sample preparation to tensile testing and, depending on the lab, OES spectrometry.
- Accountable for compliance to standards on all remaining manual processes that were not able to be locked down through hardware and software upgrade.
- Escalates product quality and/or compliance issues to the Lab Supervisor as needed.
- Engages in learning and development such as, formal training protocols for initial qualification followed by functional understanding of the process, metallurgy, the mechanics of tensile testing, etc.
- Interprets industry specification requirements and identify compliance issues in the documentation coming down from the ERP.
- Identifies differences in testing requirements between industry and customer specific. Flags compliance issues which deviate from the standards.
- Participates in all required PM activities and reports equipment performance issues immediately to the Lab Supervisor.
- Operates with 100% compliance to new standards for data management and control. Required to immediately report all compliance issues identified within the process to Lab Supervisor.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, appearance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics (temper, yield and tensile, elongation).
- Supports production team at press as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Ability to follow directions.
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Ability to read and use a tape measure that shows measurements in feet and inches.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
