Job Summary:

Performs advanced, skilled electrical work, plans, assigns, coordinates and oversees the work of journey level craft personnel within Hydro, LLC and outside contractors engaged in the construction, installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of electrical systems. Maintains Electrical equipment related to production and circuits installed in the facilities. This includes Automated Production Machinery, cranes, lighting, breaker panels and MCC switchgear.

Required Education/Experience:

  • 6 years of plant level electrical and two years of previous mechanical experience from manufacturing or industrial areas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Journeyman Electrician Certification.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspects equipment daily to ensure proper safety devices are in place (i.e., guarding) and notify supervisor any safety concerns.
  • Responsible to make sure all Hydro facilities comply with electrical laws and codes.
  • Works in a team with the Maintenance Manager and PLC Engineer to design upgrades to existing machinery.
  • Performs Electrical Trouble shooting and repair of production machinery.
  • Performs Preventive Maintenance on Electrical systems.
  • Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment.
  • Assists with safety system upgrades of equipment.
  • Responsible for electrical parts stores. Gets quotes and orders electrical parts.
  • Implement, sponsor and support all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
  • Performs operation of production equipment, inspects, and packs product safely and according to standards.
  • Performs tests at a high quality of standards set by quality specifications.
  • Maintains an appropriate productivity target as determined through machine rates.
  • Maintains all records on job assignments in a correct and timely manner, on paper as well as in the computer.
