 Quality Intern/Co-op (3 months or 6 months)

 Shifts Available and Hours:  Days Shift Monday- Friday

         7am to 4pm- flexible

        While primarily a Monday thru Friday day shift role, flexibility for off-shift and weekends should be understood as necessary for project completion

 Job Summary: A quality internship/co-op is a trainee employee who gains experience by working in the quality control department of a company's production facility. Quality control interns must analyze production lines and devise test procedures to identify manufacturing deficiencies that cause quality control issues.

Education/Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences or related field
• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, LEAN, and/or simulation tools like Arena, CAD, and/or AutoCAD

 Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality processes and procedures using analytical tools
• Collaborate with both internal (Operations, Engineering, and Program Management) to ensure quality standards are in place and are being properly executed
• Determine root cause for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications and implement effective corrective action as needed
• Write inspection procedures and assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections and obtaining proper product dispositions
• Analyze quality performance for factory and collaborate with the quality team to develop improvement plans for identified problem areas
• Interprets engineering drawings, aluminum standards, and data publications
