Technical Sales Engineer

 

Do you want to apply your technical expertise to customers and projects—while also contributing to more sustainable building solutions?

HBS is now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with a background in engineering or technical building disciplines who wants to work at the intersection of technology, advisory services, and the market.

This is a role for someone who enjoys combining technical understanding with customer dialogue, training, and problem-solving—and who thrives being visible and active in the market.

 

Responsibilities

In the role as a Technical Sales Engineer, you will work both operationally and in an advisory capacity, including:

 

  • Providing technical advice, support, and assistance to customers in projects and in selecting products from our systems
  • Assisting with training and courses for customers
  • Clarifying technical solutions in dialogue with customers, contractors, consultants, and architects
  • Maintaining an active presence with customers and in the market
  • Representing and promoting HBS’s values
  • Contributing to increased focus on sustainability and circularity in building and project solutions

 

The position involves travel to customers in Norway, as well as to our head office in Vetlanda, Sweden.

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

 

  • Education as an engineer or technical college/bachelor’s degree in:

 

    • Construction / structural engineering / mechanical engineering
    • Other relevant experience may compensate

 

  • Strong technical understanding of construction processes and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to explain technical solutions in a clear and understandable way
  • Experience in consulting, design, technical support, or technical sales is an advantage
  • Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and spoken
