What you will be doing

Specialist Areas: Fire protection, burglary resistance and bullet resistance

 

As a Design Engineer, you will develop and design aluminium building systems for windows, doors and façades, with a strong focus on safety-related requirements. The role includes developing new system solutions, optimising existing products, and providing technical support for testing and certification in the areas of fire protection, burglary resistance and bullet resistance.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and designing aluminium systems for windows, doors and façades.
  • Designing and optimising safety-related system solutions.
  • Creating 2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings and documentation.
  • Planning, supervising and evaluating tests and approval processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and requirements.
  • Collaborating closely with internal departments, suppliers and testing bodies.
  • Continuously improving existing product platforms.
  • Providing technical support for product launches and system developments.

 

Aim of the role

In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative, standards-compliant and cost-effective aluminium building systems that meet the highest requirements for fire resistance, burglary resistance and bullet resistance.

What will make you successful?

What you bring

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Civil Engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in the development and design of aluminium building systems, façade, window or door systems.
  • Knowledge of fire protection, burglary resistance and/or bullet resistance is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Good knowledge of relevant construction standards, regulations and safety requirements.
  • Good written and spoken German and English.
