Civil engineer/Structural engineer (m/f/d)

Become part of our project centre of competence at WICONA, a leading brand of Hydro, shaping the future with sustainable and innovative aluminium solutions. We are looking for an experienced civil engineer/structural engineer (m/f/d) to join our team and take on a key role in the development of ambitious aluminium facades – from unitised facades to mullion-transom systems and special solutions.

In this key position, you will be responsible for the structural analysis and optimisation of complex façade systems with a focus on load-bearing capacity, efficiency and sustainability. You will develop innovative solutions and play a part in the realisation of pioneering projects in the construction industry.

Your responsibilities

• Design and development of high-tech façades and special aluminium constructions in the offer and execution phase
• Creation of object-related, static calculations for window and façade elements
• Verification of the usability and stability of our project and system constructions, as well as strength verification of construction details
• Active participation in the conception and development of façade solutions together with our designers and customers
• Market observation and analysis of trends, verification methods and standards in the field of statics
• Training and instruction of employees and customers regarding static requirements
• Taking over and independent management of projects

Your Profile

• Degree in civil or mechanical engineering or a comparable technical qualification
• Solid practical experience in static calculations and verification methods for aluminium-glass constructions or aluminium/steel high-rise buildings
• Confident handling of M365 and FEM software (e.g. ANSYS, SCIA Engineer, RStab, etc.) and AutoCAD or Inventor
• Knowledge of load effects and verification methods according to Eurocode 1, 3 or 9 as well as the associated standards
• Ability to work independently and carefully as well as in a team
• Strong communication skills, loyal and practice-oriented personality
• Good knowledge of German and English
