Finance Manager HBS DACH (m/f/d)

About the Role

As Financial Manager DACH, you will lead the reporting and controlling for all entities associated with Hydro Building Systems DACH. This is a high-impact, senior role where you will shape financial performance, ensure strong governance, and function as a strategic business partner to local leadership. This role will be reports into the Finance Director North Region, covering DACH, Nordic, Benelux, and UK.

What you will be doing

Financial Leadership & Reporting

• Lead monthly closing, consolidation, and reporting activities.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and HGB.
• Supporting and contributing to continuously improved financial reporting processes as well as business planning
• Owning the monthly closing: such as consolidation, error checking and solving, monthly report preparation etc

 Business Partnering

• Provide insights that influence strategic and operational decisions.
• Being the dedicated business partner for all DACH entities
• Supporting the business in developing and implementing effective benchmarking, training, and deployment of new ways of working, with focus on SG&A

Performance Management & Working Capital

• Drive rigorous financial analysis and cost/investment control.
• Lead working capital management and credit policy.

Control, Compliance & Internal Governance

• Own internal control procedures and ensure strong governance.

Projects, ERP & Transformation

• Contribute to ERP rollouts, integrations, and digital transformation.
• Participation and/or leading projects, at plants and/or business unit

Team & Collaboration

• Direct report of 2 team leaders, covering controlling and credit management, with a total responsibility of 14 employees.
• Collaborate with various teams and business units.
• Be an active part of the finance and strategy team and support the team with other tasks when needed.

What will make you successful?

• Degree in Finance or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong analytical skills, initiative-taking mindset, and excellent communication.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, HFM is a plus.
• Well-developed ability to express oneself both verbally and in writing is required with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently.
• A positive person with high integrity and can-do approach as well as ability to prioritise and execute.
• A curious mindset with willingness to learn and develop oneself as well as others
• A structured way of working and a strong drive to deliver results with precision and quality.
• A strong ability for independent work as the tasks and changing environment requires flexibility.
• Be an active and collaborative part of the team, which is multi location based.
