Senior Design Engineer (m/w/d)

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to strengthen our team, specializing in the development of tailored aluminium facades, including unitized curtain walls, stick systems, and bespoke solutions.

In this key role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing complex project-specific facade systems, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and structural performance. You will drive engineering efforts for innovative solutions and work on prestigious projects that set new benchmarks in the construction industry.

Main Responsibilities:

• Project-Specific Design:
  Develop customized facade systems with a focus on efficient production, safe installation, sustainability, and effective sealing solutions. Utilize new technologies and materials to enhance facade systems and continuously promote innovation.

• Technical Analysis and Problem Solving:
  Assess structural, static, and performance-related aspects of projects. Solve technical challenges and propose efficient, innovative solutions. Provide qualified technical advice and coordinate the technical team to ensure feasibility and high-quality outcomes.

• Team Collaboration:
  Work closely with the team of Senior Design Engineers and other departments to align projects with deadlines, quality standards, and performance objectives.

• International Collaboration:
  Act as the central point of contact for customers, production, quality, and sales departments. Collaborate with external partners and local teams to meet customer requirements while adhering to local and global regulations.

Skills and Competencies Beneficial for the Role:

• At least 5 years of experience in aluminium facades or building systems design in a similar or comparable position.
• Completed technical training in metal construction or a degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, or a related field); a Master’s degree or specialization in construction is advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or Revit).
• Strong knowledge of relevant facade system standards (e.g., ISO, EN 13830).
• Ability to manage complex projects in an international context, with flexibility to address local requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, team orientation, and a proactive work ethic.
• Good command of English and German.
