L3 Specialist, Network Operations

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate executing on network security measures, including access controls, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems, to protect critical manufacturing systems and data;
- Perform regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address security risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement network upgrades and expansions, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure;
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting guides;
- Generate reports and provide insights to management on system/network performance and potential improvements;
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing staff on network-related issues, protocols, and best practices;
- Take active part in location-specific and global IT projects;
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing network technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary;
- Implement and support market-standard industrial protocols to facilitate communication between manufacturing equipment, controllers, and supervisory systems;
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency;
- Collaborate in the design, configuration, and maintenance of manufacturing production networks, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers and operations staff, to understand network requirements and ensure alignment with production needs;
- Ensure to work in compliance with Hydro Quality system, HSE regulations, policies and standardized operating procedures;
- Perform all other tasks upon the instructions of the superior in charge which may be necessitated by the operations of the related unit and which do not conflict with any applicable laws, statutory provisions and company rules;
- Compliance with area-specific customer requirements.
Experience:
- Work experience on the fiel of IT Infraestructure.
Qualifications:

IT Engineer or equivalent is a must;

Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, OPC, and SCADA systems (Education knowledge);

Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching (Education knowledge);

Proven experience in network support; preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments (Work experience);

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) (Education knowledge);

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in time-sensitive production environments. (Soft skill);

Understand network security principles and best practices in an industrial setting (Education knowledge);

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. (Soft skill);

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. (Soft skill).
Requirements:
- Fluency both in the native language of supported location(s) and in English is a must;
- High-level understanding of market-standard manufacturing industry standards and regulations. (Skill)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and their application in manufacturing environments. (Skill)
- Familiarity with industrial wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, RFID) and their integration with manufacturing networks. (Skill)
- High-level understanding of manufacturing processes and production floor environments. (Skill)
- High-level experience with configuring and troubleshooting market-standard network equipment and various enterprise-grade devices (Work experience)
- Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization in manufacturing environments. (Skill)
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent. (Education knowledge)
