Starting Rate of pay: $28.58- $42.00/hr.

 

Shifts Available and Hours:   Night shift, 5:50pm-6am on an EOWEO/ 2-2-3 rotation.  (You may be trained on dayshift- but will go to nightshift after training.) 

 

Shift Premium:  $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

What you will be doing

  • Applies knowledge of machining skills (lathe, milling machine, drill press, surface grinder, etc.), troubleshoots for the root cause, and develops solutions utilizing a scientific approach with at a minimum the following tools: prints, sketches, manuals, diagnostic equipment, etc. coupled with machinery knowledge and common sense in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Safely dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and operates complex equipment using hand and power tools, cranes, and hoists.
  • Applies knowledge of machining (lathe, milling machine, drill press, surface grinder, etc.), mechanics, and other crafts and trades to efficiently fabricate, repair or maintain complex equipment.
  • Completes work in a timely manner, often without direct supervision and able organize work for maximum efficiency.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

  • A Machinist Technical Degree and/or Certificate with 1-year practical experience and/or 3-5 years of practical experience in an industrial setting is desired. 
  • Candidates will be required to take a written assessment as well as perform hands-on skill demonstrations to assist with proofing/evaluating their knowledge and skill level.
  • Participation in the Craft Academic Training Center is required.

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Capable of prioritizing & organizing assignments for maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read blueprints, basic mechanical skills and good math skills.
  • Ability to perform CNC Conversational Programming.
