What you will be doing

Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
All work will be completed in compliance with Hydro safety policies, EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and
regulations. Also responsible for installing new electrical systems and component as well as maintaining
existing systems as required. Systems could be and are not limited to new subpanels, lighting, receptacles,
switches, disconnects, motor starters, VFD’s, over current devices, etc.

Duties include:

Support and sponsors all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices
Installing and servicing current and new electrical systems to the current NFPA 70/NEC
code

Installing and sizing conduits based on current NEC codes
Sizing and installing all branch and feeder conductors based on current NEC code including
using all voltage drop calculations, ambient temperature and number of wires in a raceway
derating.

Proficient and conduit bending, and installation based on current NEC code of all metallic
and non-metallic raceways

Proficient and conduit layout and runs
Good working knowledge of electrical theory, both AC and DC
Proficient at blueprint reading
Service and install 120 – 480-volt single phase and three phase systems
Installation and servicing of 120 - 480-volt three phase delta, wye and corner grounded
transformers

Electrical troubleshooting
Installs, configures, maintains, and repairs IP video surveillance networks, security
cameras, and recording hardware
