Starting Rate of pay:
$21.52/hour
Shifts Available and Hours:
2nd Shift
3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Training will also be completed on 2nd shift.
Shift Premium:
$1.50/hour extra for 2nd shift
What you will be doing
- Work on the Extrusion Press Line and communicate and work effectively with fellow employees.
- Operate the saw and stretching equipment safely and productively while following work instructions and maintaining quality standards.
- Inspect material for squareness, flatness, bow, gauge and other specifications using micrometers, calipers, straight edges and gauges.
- Perform simple maintenance and troubleshoot common equipment issues to maintain safe and productive saw operations.
- Cross-train and provide backup support for the Press Operator and Head Stretcher as required.

Required Education/Experience:
- No prior work-related experience required.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to read and understand process sheets and follow detailed written instructions.
- Ability to follow all work and safety instructions.
- Ability to work long hours in seasonal temperatures.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is an asset.
- Forklift, Combi or other mobile equipment operating experience is an asset.
- Ability to use a calculator and read a tape measure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable and eager to learn and grow.
- Ability to safely operate production equipment and troubleshoot common equipment issues.
- Willingness to learn and cross-train on multiple production functions.
