Starting Rate of pay: $22.77/hour

Shifts Available and Hours:   1st shift (6.00AM – 2.30PM)

2nd shift (2.00PM – 10.30PM)

 

                                   

Shift Premium:  $1.00/hour extra for shift differential on 2nd shift.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Keep all production areas stocked with materials and components, skids, and other essential materials. Use of the daily production schedule ensures timely availability of material and components. Lost production time due to line-side delivery issues is unacceptable.
  • Organize materials and components in an efficient manner.  Stage and sequence material in racks and zones according to where-used principle and ensure FIFO for all materials and components.
  • Ensure proper material identification for all material sitting in Plant.  Material and components cannot be moved unless identified with a Move Ticket.
  • Load designated trucks according to shipping instructions.  Ensure accuracy in loading of Customer product, safe handling of Customer product, and ensure that all skids/racks of Customer product has necessary labels, banding, and shrink wrap.
  • Unload designated trucks upon arrival. Production needs are priority.  Alert team members if a significant delay occurs.  Seek assistance in unloading trucks if necessary.
  • Complete the forklift preventive maintenance checklist at the start of each shift.  Report any/all mechanical problems or safety concerns to the Supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to work Daily/Weekend overtime as required.
  • Prior experience operating LP Gas or Electric sit-down forklifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Successful completion of an internal forklift training/safety course is required.
  • Must pass a drug/alcohol screen and physical exam.  (Note – accommodations can and will be made in accordance with The Americans with Disabilities Act).
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs frequently during an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Ability to mount and dismount forklift frequently during scheduled shift.
  • Ability to successfully complete a 90 day orientation period
