  • Prepare briefings, presentations and strategic materials for senior executives and business leaders.
  • Support the planning and execution of meetings, events and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Provide strategic insights on emerging policy trends and their potential impact on Hydro’s business.

What will make you successful?

We are looking for someone who combines strong policy expertise with excellent relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in Europe’s industrial and sustainability agenda.

  • A Master’s degree in European Studies, Political Science, Law, Economics or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4–5 years of relevant professional experience, gained in an in-house EU public affairs role, consultancy, European institution or Brussels-based industry association.
  • A strong understanding of EU decision-making processes and the European policy landscape.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to translate complex policy developments into clear business implications and recommendations.
  • A proactive, self-driven and collaborative approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in English. An additional European language is considered an advantage.
  • Curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to travel and continuously learn.

What we offer you

Joining Hydro means helping shape the future of sustainable industry while working on policy issues that are central to Europe’s green and industrial transformation.

  • A meaningful role with direct impact on policy developments affecting European industry and sustainability.
  • The opportunity to represent one of Europe’s leading industrial companies in Brussels.
  • A dynamic, international and collaborative work environment.
  • Flexible working arrangements and offices at Norway House in the heart of the EU quarter.
  • Regular interaction with senior leaders, policy experts and colleagues across Hydro’s global operations.
  • Opportunities for travel, including visits to Hydro’s headquarters in Oslo, production sites across Europe and key European capitals.
  • A competitive compensation and benefits package, including pension, health insurance, meal vouchers and company phone.
