Data Privacy IT Specialist (One-year fixed-term contract)

Role purpose

This position is responsible for Global Business Services (GBS) organization covering the following areas:
•    Implementation of Hydro GDPR framework (Hydro Binding Corporate Rules - BCR) for IS/IT applications, processes and organization.
•    Support the DP servicing to other business areas in Hydro.
This role ensures accuracy and competence in Data Privacy to fulfil Hydro requirements, corporate policies, guidelines and rules for Global Business Services organization.

What you will be doing

• Mapping, maintenance and documentation of IT applications and processes containing personal data.
• Work with project teams to ensure that new systems/applications/processes are designed and developed to minimise privacy risks.
• Collaboration with the GBS IT/ GRIT/BA IT organization about the security initiatives related to data privacy.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of privacy standards, guidelines and procedures.
• Support compliance with Data privacy principles and protection by design by default requirements in GBS organization.
• Assist with supplier agreements including Data Processing Agreements.
• Execute risk assessments and related documentation for all relevant processing activities, incl. systems/applications (service providers/processors), including AI assessments.
• Contribute to information security and data privacy training and awareness programme.
• Assist with the investigation, assessment and documentation of data breaches and security incidents.
• Provide professional support for external/internal audits related to Data Privacy.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
• 5+ years experience in the field of IT
• Experience at multinational companies with global presence – preferably GBS IT area
• Desirable but not essential: globally recognized data privacy professional certification
• Knowledge of Data Privacy requirements, internal controls, IT Security and AI
• Understanding of system requirements related to Data Privacy, high level understanding of Information technology and AI
• Fluency in English
• Good managing, initiation, problem solving and communication skills
• Project management skills for introducing Data Privacy requirements in GBS IT
