Key Account Manager Automotive

What you will be doing

As a Key Account Manager, you will develop and strengthen long-term customer relationships while driving business growth within the automotive industry. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, you will ensure successful project execution and deliver commercial excellence.

Your responsibilities will include

• Managing a portfolio of key customer accounts and building long-term partnerships.
• Identifying and driving new business opportunities and supporting project acquisition.
• Preparing, negotiating, and managing quotations, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Leading commercial activities throughout customer projects from acquisition to series production.
• Collaborating with engineering, operations, finance, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitoring sales performance, budgets, profitability, and preparing commercial reports and forecasts.
• Maintaining accurate CRM data and ensuring compliance with customer, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Supporting product launches, customer audits, and issue resolution while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development, preferably within the automotive or industrial sector.
• Fluency in Korean, German, and English, as the role requires regular communication with Korean- and German-speaking customers and business partners.
• Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or similar automotive customers.
• Proven experience in customer relationship management, commercial negotiations, and project acquisition.
• Experience working in an international environment and the ability to collaborate effectively across different business cultures; experience working in a Korean business environment or with Korean business partners .
• Experience within the aluminum extrusion industry is considered a plus.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach and the ability to work independently in a dynamic international environment.
