Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
GBS IT & Indirect Procurement is mainly responsible for sourcing, purchasing and vendor management for all IT & Indirect contracts in Hydro. GBS Procurement has team members located in Oslo, Hungary, Germany and Brazil. We are now looking for a Sourcing Manager - IT located in Oslo, in a temporary position with minimum 12 months duration. This is a great opportunity for a forward leaning candidate with a commercial mindset, willing to learn and grow in the procurement field.

What you will be doing
The Sourcing Manager IT runs a wide variety of procurement processes and is a specialist in tendering, negotiations and contract management. The Sourcing Manager ensures that products and services are sourced at competitive total cost and that processes are run in a compliant and efficient manner while at the same time adding value to Norsk Hydro.
The Sourcing Manger will report directly to Senior Manager IT Procurement and will work closely with internal stakeholders. The individual will collaborate across Business Areas and will also work closely with the rest of the category management team.
As a Sourcing Manager you will:
- Take ownership of sourcing activities towards internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs
- Manage medium to larger procurement/sourcing processes, across global IT (including RFx processes, evaluation, contract negotiations and contract awards)
- Develop and execute sourcing plans to meet internal customer requirements and in line with category strategies.
- Manage supplier lifecycle, including onboarding, performance follow-up and contractual compliance
- Support internal customers across the Hydro organization.
What will make you successful?
- Relevant BSc/MSc degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in IT procurement or sourcing
- Experience with sourcing, supplier management and value analysis (e.g. TCO, ROI)
- Strong analytical and digital skills (e.g. Excel, SAP or similar tools)
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Structured, proactive and quick to learn, with a collaborative mindset
- Fluency in English

Some travelling will be required.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
