What you will be doing

  • Coordinate Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, which includes creating PM activity documents, scheduling PM releases, reviewing returned PM’s for accuracy, determine issues and if corrections are needed, enter complete or incomplete PM information into computer system, and report PM performance to internal standards.
  • Receives, records, and distributes maintenance work orders to workers and/or supervisors.
  • Work with Production Scheduling Department to plan & schedule work, parts, efficient personnel utilization, documentation, and machine availability.
  • Analyze PM's to identify root cause of premature parts failure and work with maintenance technicians, engineering, and/or outside sources to resolve issues.
  • Work with spare parts inventory control personnel to determine spare parts requirements and order quantities based on lessons learned through PM activities.
  • Participate in weekly PM planning meetings to ensure all parts and resources are available for planned work.
  • Review job closures for further work/parts required, PM changes needed, update of task lists. Schedule other repairs as hidden problems are found during repairs or PMs.
  • Train Maintenance techs on use of SAP PM modules for completing PM’s and work orders and searching for spare parts inventories in SAP
  • Must support facilities department in researching and ordering parts or equipment
  • Must have the ability to write work instructions for technicians to effectively perform preventative maintenance orders using hand tools, power tools, electrical meters and equipment, cleaning supplies and other resources.
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15 pounds and to climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to organize and prioritize projects effectively.
  • Participate in department and plant safety programs.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements

What will make you successful?

 EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient with SAP PM module is a must
  • 3 yrs minimum industrial reliability maintenance background
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Data entry)
  • Strong working knowledge of Inventory and Work Order Systems (PM Systems)
  • General knowledge and understanding of Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems in a maintenance environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of process related standards
  • Ability to think critically and theoretically
  • Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or Associates with work experience, in industrial maintenance background.
  • Five to ten years background in Maintenance/Facilities in a industrial setting.
