Accountant, Accounts Payable Services

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

You will work on:

• Application and usage of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
• Application of the common Chart of Accounts defined by Hydro
• Receiving the PO and non-PO based invoices through the agreed receiving and documentation process
• Gather approvals for non-PO invoices and for PO invoices with issues using Hydro’s Vendor Invoice Management tools
• Booking Accounts Payable documents (such as invoices/credit notes/prepayments/custom bills etc) in ERP
• Perform continuous review over the outstanding Accounts Payable related items including, but not restricted to unpaid/blocked invoices/credit notes (also called aged open items), prepayments/downpayments, GRIR (Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt), MRBR (Maintenance Review Board Report)
• Manage resolution of all functional problems during the Accounts Payable process
• Provide information to the suppliers related to payment status of invoices. Become a key functional contact on this area between locations, suppliers, and banks
• Regular reconciliation of General Ledger accounts that belong to Accounts Payable
• Perform monthly closing activities for Accounts Payable
• Reconciliation of Supplier Statements (Based on special request)
• Contribution to the development and improvement of the Accounts Payable processes

Your qualifications and skills:

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance field
• College / University degree or with secondary school certificate specialized in finance and accounting
• English language proficiency, any other language is a plus
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Interest and acumen in how a business functions 
• Application of proven methods to common and uncommon accounting problems
• Ability to review one’s own work and find and correct any mistakes
• Understanding of the overall impact of their financial decisions
• Proficiency with SAP / S4 HANA accounting software
• Strong analytical skills
• Service mindedness
