Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Role purpose
Head of GBS Finance Global Hub Hungary reports to Head of GBS Finance and is part of GBS Finance Management Team. Key responsibility is to manage transactional accounting services out of Hungary, working closely with GBS Finance Management Team to ensure world class competitive and compliant accounting services to our partners in business.
What you will be doing
Lead Hydro GBS Finance Global Hub Hungary, delivering transactional accounting services including AP/AR, payments, master data, procurement support, and travel services
Drive process improvements through simplification, standardization, automation, and digitalization
Collaborate with regional/global finance hubs and process owners to ensure standardized, benchmark-level service delivery across Europe
Support the rollout of Hydro’s Finance Target Operating Model
Manage and develop the Hungarian Hub, including task allocation, performance management, target setting, and regular evaluations
Oversee business-side delivery of IT projects impacting hub processes, ensuring timely implementation aligned with objectives
Maintain transparency in service charging and lead customer performance reviews
Partner with other GBS areas to improve customer delivery and operational excellence
Align projects and developments with Hydro’s strategic goals
Act as location owner to strengthen alignment and engagement across all GBS Finance teams in Hungary
What will make you successful?
Experience & Education
Minimum 8-10 years of experience within Finance, Controlling, Treasury or similar areas in Management or leadership positions
Master/Bachelor/Vocational Degree in Finance field or related fields/areas
Fluency in English and Hungarian (any other language is a plus)

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and delegate effectively within teams
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making abilities
